From crushing power to the finest detail, drums in modern and progressive metal require a full spectrum of sound. For this EZX, we’ve teamed up with Jay Postones of TesseracT to deliver just that—and more. Featuring three unique kits, each carefully curated to deliver its own unique sound, it offers a wide palette of powerful drum parts. All kits were recorded in the Back Stage Studios room in Nashville by engineer Steve Blackmon. The room, reflective enough to give the drums a sing-song sound, yet dense enough to prevent natural reverb from drowning out detail, was the perfect choice to realize the overall concept of this EZX: brutally dark, powerful, and energetic, yet clearly articulate and dynamic drums for modern progressive metal.
