DUNE 3 is built on top of the award-winning DUNE 2 synthesizer, adding new features and innovative ideas to create the best DUNE experience! DUNE 3 comes with many new patches created by experienced sound engineers. Since DUNE 3 is fully compatible with DUNE 2, it also includes its sound presets – doubling the size of the factory library to more than 1000 patches.
The revised filter section in Dune 3 now contains a dual multi-mode filter and insert effect. Various routing modes, such as sequential / parallel and seamless mixing with the balance control, provide unlimited creativity! New types of filters have also been added, including filters in the zero-delay feedback loop, based on our latest analog modeling technology. For creative creativity, there are new insert effects, such as a formant / vowel filter or phaser, which greatly expand the range of possibilities of sound design.
Dual Arpeggiator – Two arpeggiators instead of one significantly expand the possibilities of the sound design of DUNE 3. Arpeggiators can be programmed independently and receive both classic arpeggios Up / Down, and play various sequences or even MIDI files. In addition, new features, such as Random mode or the programmable Arp Hold function, make the arpeggiator more powerful than ever before!
Oscillators – At the heart of DUNE 3 are its powerful blocks of oscillators. DUNE 3 supports the following synthesis: VA, FM and Wavetable. With a maximum supply of 8320 oscillators with full polyphony, DUNE 3 is a true polyphonic monster, the possibilities of which can hardly ever be exhausted.
New to DUNE 3 is the “Swarm” mode, an evolution of the classic Supersaw sound generator. In this mode, each oscillator receives its own modulation, breathing much more life into the sound than was previously possible!
Updated Effects – DUNE 3 offers many new effect algorithms in all categories, such as Distrosch, Chorus, Phaser, Equalizer, Delay and Reverb.
One of the most important additions is the new equalizer, which uses technology from our GQ-7 Graphic Equalizer. Designed as a professional equalizer for mixing and mastering, it contains four bands with high-quality parametric and shelf equalizers, as well as two additional low-pass and high-pass filters with different slices. All filters in the equalizer are designed to adjust modulation without artifacts, so this equalizer can be used for creative purposes other than traditional equalizer plug-ins.
Another great effect is the new Shimmer Hall, an exclusive DUNE 3U feature that is perfect for lush background sounds, great pads and leads!
The new Wavetable editor – introduced in DUNE 3, is one of the most powerful. Wave forms can be created using drawing, segments, a special image editor of parts, or by entering formulas. Various functions, such as morphing, gradual increase / decrease, normalization, DC removal, inverting / reversing, make creating new wave tables very fast. Waveforms and tables can be imported and exported in WAV format and are thus compatible with a wide range of third-party software.
