An incredibly versatile plugin designed to provide a wide range of possibilities for players
looking for the perfect clean and borderline overdriven sounds.
Peculiarities
We carefully crafted the exact effect Corey
wanted from a wah pedal. By connecting a MIDI-controlled expression pedal, you can quickly configure the plugin to remember your pedal’s range, giving you complete control over the effect. If you don’t have an expression pedal, turn on auto-wah for endless whacca-whacca fun!
Pre-effects
These virtual models, a collection of Corey’s favorite pedals, will give you everything from authentic funk sounds to the beautiful saturation of a tube amp.
The Postal Service:
A complex envelope filter with a simple user interface.
The 4th Position Compressor:
Corey’s signature sound, giving you all the smoothness and punch a modern compressor should have.
The Tuber:
A modified classic; a booster beloved by tube amp fans.
The Big Rig Overdrive:
A heavy, powerful overdrive pedal that builds saturation to the point of fuzz.
AMPS
DI Funk Console
Based on an analog channel strip, the DI Funk Console recreates the classic “bubble” sound. Featuring tube saturation, a powerful compressor, selectable frequencies in the EQ section, and high- and low-pass filters for maximum control, the DI Funk Console works great without a cabinet! Bypass it to add a vintage flavor to your DI signal.
Clean Machine
This amp, a blend of the best clean amps in the industry, has been tailored to Corey’s needs, giving it a wider range of control and versatility. The result is crisp, clean tones with a beautifully warm top end.
Amp Snob
Amp Snob, a model of one of the rarest amps in history, is incredibly versatile: at low gain settings, you can achieve crystal-clear sounds. Turn up the gain and master volume knobs to achieve the iconic overdrive sound. The vacuum tube power amplifier softens high transients and smooths out the booster’s sound, complementing it with excellent low frequencies and dynamic response.
Cabinets/FX
Cabsim
has developed a highly comprehensive and adaptable cabinet simulation module with six virtual microphones that can be positioned around the speakers. Cabsim features 108 IRs per cabinet, for a total of 324 IRs, all recorded by Adam “Nolly” Getgood.
This module also serves as a standard loader for your favorite impulse response files.
These features can be used in both mono and stereo configurations; the latter allows you to add a second microphone with full pan, mic level, and phase parameters in addition to position and distance, providing maximum control and limitless sonic possibilities.
Room Reverb
: The Room Send controls in the cabsim module introduce a subtle room reverb effect, adding natural depth to your sound.
Link/Unlink:
This unique control allows you to use each head with its corresponding cabinet or experiment by swapping them.
EQ:
Ideal for detailed spectrum shaping, the built-in 9-band graphic EQ provides complete control over the frequency response.
Post-Effects:
The post-effects section includes three powerful pedals.
The 80s:
A luxurious, shimmering vintage chorus with a touch of the 80s.
Delay-yy:
Designed with analog circuitry, this BBD delay will give you an incredibly warm tone and beautiful repeats.
The Wash:
A powerful reverb with a Shimmer switch, allowing you to immerse yourself in a dreamy atmosphere.
Transpose & Doubler :
Transpose : Raise or lower the pitch of the guitar by a constant interval (+12/-12 semitones). Use this function to easily change the tuning of your instrument.
Doubler : Project your signal into a simulated stereo field, creating the sound of a double recording.
ADDITIONAL
Tuner:
An additional real-time tuner is now displayed at the bottom of the user interface.
Metronome:
To perfectly complement your practice, the metronome lets you control the time signature, accents, and note durations (the metronome is only available in standalone mode).
Standalone:
The Standalone feature in Archetype: Cory Wong X allows you to quickly install, connect, and use this versatile suite of plugins! Standalone is ideal for practicing on the go and for live use.
