Lost Synth is a unique sound collection built from a carefully selected range of rare vintage analog synthesizers. It takes classic machines like the Juno 60, Polysix, ARP Odyssey, MS20, Mono/Poly, RS-09, and Minimoog, along with less common instruments such as the Logan String Melody II, and gives their sounds a completely different character.
The original synthesizer sounds were heavily reworked by running them through tape delays, boutique guitar pedals, and reel-to-reel equipment before being resampled. The result is a collection of unusual textures, pads, leads, rhythms, and other sounds that feel familiar at first but quickly become something completely new.
You can combine and manipulate different layers to create your own sounds, while the Memories engine adds evolving rhythmic elements and movement underneath your patches. This makes Lost Synth useful for electronic music, ambient productions, sound design, cinematic tracks, and experimental projects.
The library was created by Matt Peel and Tom Orrell from Nave Records. Using Matt’s collection of rare vintage synthesizers and Tom’s detailed engineering approach, they spent countless hours exploring instruments from the 1970s and 1980s and pushing their sounds through different analog processing chains.
Lost Synth is essentially a collection of vintage synthesizer sounds reimagined into something strange, atmospheric, and refreshingly different.
