Soniccouture Ondes v3.5 is a KONTAKT library for Windows and Mac that recreates the Ondes Martenot.
The Ondes, invented by Maurice Martenot in 1928, were improved and their production continued until 1988. The Ondes Martenot has been used in many film soundtracks since 1931 including One Day in the Life of Shostakovich, Lawrence of Arabia in 1962, and A Passage to India in 1984, as well as in modern films such as Amelie in 2001 and There Will Be Blood in 2007, starring Johnny Greenwood.
Ondes by Soniccouture is a 21st-century return to the original instrument with phase-locked sampling of individual notes of each oscillator, three unique cabinets, a polyphonic version, and MPE support.
Thanks to the many MIDI execution options, you can achieve realistic sounding performance regardless of the hardware.
