Rubicon from Canadian masters Eurorack Intellijel is an analog VCO with a triangle core, capable of modulating the frequency to zero. Originally created by Dave Dixon, it is widely regarded as the masterpiece of the analog VCO.
Now offered as an officially licensed extension for Softube Modular, Rubicon is ideal for experimenting with FM synthesis – broadly modulating one sound wave over another – and can create highly complex and detailed sounds, both harmonic and non-harmonic.
