Orange Tree Samples Evolution Songwriter v1.3.5 is a KONTAKT library for Windows and Mac that features an exact copy of the legendary Gibson J45, an acoustic guitar with steel strings that can be heard on countless albums by singer-songwriters over the past decades.
This instrument is inspired by a wide variety of musicians including The Beatles, Joni Mitchell, and the more contemporary acoustic sounds of Iron and Wine and The Dirty Projectors.
When creating this guitar, the goal was to create an instrument with a diverse tonal palette, from the iconic sounds of the 1960s and 1970s to a variety of ready-made presets for songwriters and producers.
The library was developed in collaboration with guitarist William Dergantz, who not only sampled the acoustic guitar but also participated directly in the development process, providing factory presets, strumming patterns, and custom chord variations for the library.
