Native Instruments Kontakt 8 v8.13.1 is the industry-leading sampler and virtual instrument creation platform for Windows. It combines innovative generative MIDI instruments, an updated wave and loop synthesis engine, and deep layering capabilities.
Kontakt 8 is a major evolution of the flagship sampler, which has become the standard in film production, sound design, and music production. The eighth version offers not only improved performance and redesigned ergonomics, but also fundamentally new intelligent features for generating musical ideas and quickly creating loops right out of the box.
Key Innovations and Features
Intelligent MIDI Tools
Added specialized Chords and Phrases modules that generate harmonies and melodic lines in real time. This feature allows you to snap playback to a selected key, scale phrases, and easily drag-and-drop the resulting MIDI pattern directly onto a sequencer track.
Leap Loop Manipulation Engine
A fast performance sampler inside Kontakt for playing and dynamically transforming one-shots and loops on the fly. Includes sets of stutter, pitch-shifting, and rhythmic filtering effects, controlled from the white keys of the keyboard.
Conflux Hybrid Synthesis
A new sound engine that combines sampling with organic wavetables, allowing you to smoothly transform acoustic timbres into deep electronic textures.
Convenient Layering (Combined)
Creating multi-patches and layered instruments is now available in one click via the Combined tab, allowing you to mix any installed libraries and process them with shared macro controllers.
Redesigned Interface and Navigation
Quick access to the rack, horizontal display of libraries with smart sorting, and optimized unloading of unused samples from RAM (Purge).
