Now available for your 64-bit DAW for the first time! “This is the modern version of the original Sonic EQ, developed by Dr. James A. Moorer for Lucasfilm’s SoundDroid project and later expanded for Sonic Solutions’ mastering DAWs in the 90s and early 2000s. In 2007, Sonic EQ was recreated and improved for Metric Halo’s Sonic Studio 30x interfaces. The Sonic Studio 30x version of Sonic EQ returned to the original principles, updating the user interface and engine. Today, MH Sonic EQ is a 6-band fully parametric equalizer, with each EQ band supporting 2nd- to 8th-order filters, using an updated, low-noise 64-bit state-space EQ structure with the core Sonic EQ coefficients. Key Features • World-class signal processing and workflow • Used by Grammy Award-winning engineers on countless hits • User-selectable optional oversampling (up to 16x) • 6-band fully parametric interpolated state-space EQ • All parametric bands support filters up to 48 dB per octave (8th order)
- One dedicated band for RIAA encoding, decoding or de-emphasis
- Built-in SpectraFoo™ spectral analysis
- Built-in SpectraFoo™ level meter
- Scalable gain reduction meters
- Numerous presets included
- Customizable UI size / Expandable graphs
- MH Preset Manager – provides cross-platform presets
SuperGate [New] Finally, a gate that actually does what gates were always supposed to do. First and foremost, the job of an audio gate is to pass target audio events unmodified and only attenuate unwanted signal. With SuperGate, like any other gate, you have two jobs: find and isolate the target audio, and determine when to activate the gate. Unlike other gates, SuperGate allows you to tailor the gate’s attack and release curves precisely to the sound you’re isolating while you listen, visually referenced by our dedicated WYSIWYG detector display. The gate curve you build is then applied not as a set of dynamics expander parameters, but as a programmed set of sample-by-sample instructions that define the gain structure and duration of the gate’s Attack-Hold-Release envelope itself. When the trigger point is reached during playback, this set of instructions modifies the samples that describe the target sound, thereby applying the gate. Applying gain curves in this way completely eliminates aliasing artifacts, the interpolation steps needed to correct them, and the modulation and smearing effects that degrade gain transitions. The audible benefit of this approach is immediately apparent as you work with the processor. The gate open and close curves are applied with perfect repeatability, as if they were copy/pasted into the audio stream at the trigger point (which is exactly what they are), and all the tiny variations in each audio event that provide feel and personality can pass through the gate completely untouched. Key Features • World-class signal processing and workflow • State machine-based attack and release for distortion-free gating • Adjustable attack and release curves • Look-ahead mode with delay compensation • Gating and ducking support • Integrated EQ detector with SpectraFoo™ analyzer • Flexible internal monitoring • Threshold/hysteresis and hold time control • Maximum decay control • Detailed detector and GR history logging • Many presets included
Character provides 24 different models including tube, transformer and solid state sounds. Character features a Drive (and Autodrive) control so you can crank up the distortion even further for extreme distortion.
Key Features
- Provides 24 different Character models
- Oversampling and dithering for analog-inspired smooth distortion
- User-selectable oversampling modes
- Manual Drive control – for setting the amount of distortion
- Autodrive – for providing constant distortion across all signal levels
- Output Gain – to match the level
- Adjustable UI size
- MH Preset Manager – provides cross-platform presets
HaloVerb [Updated] HaloVerb is a reverb processor that lets you add dimension and depth to your recordings. Based on the original HaloVerb hardware implementation for Metric Halo interfaces, the HaloVerb plugin extends the possibilities of great algorithmic audio while giving you more flexibility and control. Use the reverb impulse to see the reverb field as you make changes, or hide the graphics and let your ears be your guide. Use HaloVerb to add subtle ambience or create the sound of a vintage echo chamber – extensive presets and an easy-to-use user interface let you quickly dial in the sound you want. Key Features • World-class signal processing and workflow • Low and high-pass pre-filters with graphical display • Comprehensive cross-band linking • Reverb impulse display to show the shape of the reverb • Reverb time up to 7 seconds • Stereo width adjustment • Lots of presets included • Customizable UI size / Expandable graphs • MH Preset Manager – provides cross-platform presets Multiband Dynamics [Updated] Multiband Dynamics is a processor that lets you add clarity, warmth and power to your mix. Multiband Dynamics shapes the tonal quality of your audio by passing it through a three-band crossover and providing independent compression in each frequency range before summing the result through a limiter. Without compression, you can widely shape the tone of your tracks, and if you need dynamic range control or dynamic EQ, simply turn on the compressor for the band. Key Features • World-class signal processing and workflow
- Independent control over the attack and sustain of your tracks
- Detailed display of gain applied over time
- Advanced controls to change attack and release detectors
- Customizable UI – simple, detailed and advanced
- Customizable UI size
- Auto gain mode to process at any signal level
- Numerous presets included
- MH Preset Manager – provides cross-platform presets
Precision De-Esser [Updated] Precision De-Esser is a linear phase, frequency sensitive dynamics processor that lets you remove excess high frequency components from your tracks without muting the high frequencies. Precision De-Esser combines high-precision linear phase filtering technology with ChannelStrip dynamics processing and SpectraFoo measurement and analysis, allowing you to zero in on offending frequencies and fix them quickly and effectively. • World-class signal processing and workflow • Highly accurate linear-phase filter block with: • Center, Bandwidth, and Sharpness controls • Ess-Compressor with: • Threshold, Ratio, Attack, and Release controls • Comprehensive listening controls • SpectraFoo™ spectrum analysis with selectable displays • Built-in SpectraFoo™ spectrum analysis • Scalable gain reduction meters • Numerous presets included • Customizable UI size / Expandable graphs • MH Preset Manager – provides cross-platform presets
New plugins included in the package:
