The Eilean Flannel Piano (not to be confused with the flannel coat) is a beautiful, accomplished and crisply recorded upright piano designed for intimate neoclassical and film scores inspired by the likes of Hania Rani, Olafur Arnalds and Nils Frahm. Flannel was used instead of felt.
Because the fabric is thinner, it gives the piano a more defined and focused sound while still retaining much of the felt mallet sound we all love. This allows for a lot of flexibility when it comes to shaping the sound and helps it fit into a mix in almost any genre.
