Using physical modeling, each instrument responds to the performer movements in real time, recreating the natural interaction of bow and string with smooth articulation and continuous control. Designed to work together as a unified system, the package enables the creation of rich, expressive arrangements with consistent and realistic sound across the entire range of string instruments.
SWAM Technology
SWAM (Synchronous Waves Acoustic Modeling) is a sophisticated, patented, next-generation technology that enables musicians, performers, and composers to overcome the classic limitations of traditional samplers. Developed by Stefano Lucato and Emanuele Parravicini, the SWAM engine combines physical and behavioral modeling concepts with a multi-vector and phase-synchronous sample morphing method.
The SWAM engine is ideal for multi-vector expressive acoustic instruments such as woodwinds, brass, and bowed strings. Three engine versions are currently available: SWAM-B, SWAM-W, and SWAM-S, for modeling brass, woodwinds, and bowed strings.
