Audio Damage – AD057 Axon 3 v3.0.11 VST3i, AAX, AUi, CLAP WIN.OSX x64

A drum sequencer that thinks outside the box, where every beat is a live wire, sparkling and connecting to create a live rhythm. This Axon 3 is not just an update, but a complete overhaul of our legendary Axon series. This isn’t your average drum machine, it’s a sonic adventure that blends the familiar with the futuristic.

At the heart of Axon 3 is a sequencer inspired by the complex workings of artificial neural networks. Imagine neurons buzzing with energy, transmitting triggers in a dance of precision and chaos. When a neuron reaches its firing threshold, it doesn’t just react: it sings using its internal synth voice, sends a pulse out into the MIDI universe, or both.

The connections between these neurons are not random – they are the building blocks of a rhythm sequencer, the likes of which no one else has. And through the magic of probability, we’ve created a completely unique style of drum programming.
But that is not all. Each neuron in Axon 3 is equipped with a powerful synth voice that leverages the best of subtractive and FM synthesis, enhanced by a model inspired by our Boomtschack analog hardware drum module.

Axon 3 wraps all of this rhythmic innovation into a sleek interface with a full mixer, crystal delay, powerful compressor, and multiple outputs. Whether you’re creating your next IDM masterpiece, scoring a film, or simply exploring new sonic territories, Axon 3 will be your co-pilot on this exciting journey into sound.

Changes from Version 2

  • Significantly expanded synth voices and added a full model of our Boomtschack (RIP) analog drum synthesizer.
  • Quantizes the pitch and scale of the synthesizer’s internal voices for easier melodic programming.
  • Extensive randomizer to change some or all parameters.
  • Cymbal oscillator from Tattoo added to the noise section.
  • Rough Rider compressor added to master output.
  • Added trigger event probability and ratchet to the sequencer, greatly expanding the rhythmic potential.
  • The artificial neural network sequencer has seven neurons and is easily programmed to create new, strange, repeating rhythms.
  • Seven FM/VA percussion voices, which are also combined into a single monolithic complex percussion synthesizer using AM and FM buses.
  • Full mixer with pan, level, mute and solo for each voice.
  • Built-in stereo delay for live performance.
  • Built-in Rough Rider compressor on main outputs.
  • MIDI input and output for controlling Axon voices from DAWs and hardware sequencers, as well as controlling other software and hardware from Axon.
  • Internal transport for unsynchronized playback.
  • Variable vector user interface.
  • Cross-platform, human-readable XML-based preset system with copy/paste functionality for easy transfer of your own presets and third-party offerings.
