Ant Download Manager 2.17.4 Portable
Ant Download Manager is a tool that dramatically increases file download speeds by using multiple download threads, resume, schedule, and audio and video stream capture. It automatically handles errors, recovers from temporary network errors, reconnects in the event of a delayed server response, and can resume downloads interrupted by connection loss, network problems, computer shutdown, or unexpected power outages.
A standard graphical interface for software of this class makes AntDM user-friendly and easy to use. It has two screens: the first is more often used for regular downloads, and the second uses a video preview for easy download tracking. It has download queues, allowing you to accumulate download links at a convenient or scheduled time.
Supports proxy servers, HTTP and FTP file protocols and their secure versions HTTPS and FTPS, as well as major audio and video streaming protocols (HLS, MPEG-DASH, VIMEO-STREAM), firewalls, redirects, cookies, authorization, and audio and video content processing. Supports the BitTorrent P2P file sharing protocol (peer-to-peer).
It easily integrates with popular browsers such as Microsoft Edge (based on Chromium), Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and their numerous clones: 360Chrome, Brave, CCleaner, Chedot, CocCoc, Comodo Dragon, Comodo IceDragon, Maxthon6, Opera, Slimjet, SRWare, Iron, Torch, UC Browser, Vivaldi, Yandex, Waterfox, and others. Browser integration allows for automatic capture of file or media links and downloading. Alternatively, you can use AntDM standalone without integrating the AntDM extensions into your browsers. For example, drag and drop download links from your browser into AntDM, download individual links manually, as a list, or in batch mode from a file.
It not only downloads audio files but also extracts audio tracks from video files, converts them to the popular MP3 format, and adds basic audio information. One of Ant Download Manager’s advantages is its simple built-in video editor. It allows for simple, common tasks such as trimming, resizing, and more.

Program functions:
Browser Integration:
Full integration with the most popular browsers and their clones: Mozilla Firefox 53+, Google Chrome 31+ (Opera, Vivaldi, Slimjet,
ComodoDragon, Waterfox, etc.). You can disable/enable browser integration, completely remove, reinstall, or fix browser integration.
Video Grabber:
The browser’s built-in video grabber allows you to download videos from numerous websites and video services. To make selecting a video, its format, and quality easier, there’s a video button in Chromium browsers and a video capture window in other browsers. Numerous popular video services are supported: youtube.com, vimeo.com, dailymotion.com, facebook.com, instagram.com, rutube.ru, coub.com, vine.co, bbc.com, and many others. A list of websites and video services is not maintained, as the general algorithms allow downloading videos from many resources unknown to the developers.
The AntDM download speed controller
can reduce or significantly reduce download speed, allowing other programs (such as your browser) to access the network faster. By default, AntDM’s download speed is unlimited.
Automation:
Once a file is downloaded, AntDM can call any program to process the downloaded file. This includes antivirus software, archivers, and other programs.
Drag&Drop
The convenient Drag&Drop function makes it easier to move links to the downloader or downloaded files to the desired folder or to the desktop.
Protocols
The supported network protocols are HTTP(S), FTP(S) and multimedia protocols F4M, M3U8, MPEG-DASH, VIMEO-STREAM.
Proxy HTTP(S), FTP, SOCKS4.5 proxies are supported.
Multi-threaded downloading
is one of the key features of any file downloader, allowing you to significantly (in some cases, up to 10 times) speed up file downloads. Most web servers allow multi-threaded downloads. You can set up from 1 to 32 threads for downloads. Generally, 5-8 threads per download are recommended. This allows you to download multiple files simultaneously without overloading your computer.
Resuming an interrupted download:
AntDM can automatically resume an interrupted download if the web server allows it. This is a very useful feature, for example, in the event of a power outage, forced reboot, or computer shutdown.
Multiple file downloads:
If you need to download a large number of files, combine their links into a single text file with a TXT or LNK extension and upload it through the program’s main menu. Tests have been performed with downloads of 10,000, 20, and 40,000 files, each 100 KB-1 MB in size.
Multihosters
Support for the most popular multihosters (premium link generators) alldebrid.com, cocoleech.com, debrid-link.fr, ffdownloader.com, linksnappy.com, mega-debrid.eu, real-debrid.com, premium.rpnet.biz, simply-debrid.com, and others. To use Multihoster features, you must have a paid service for one of the services supported by AntDM: alldebrid.com, cocoleech.com, debrid-link.fr,…
When capturing video
, AntDM almost always offers to extract audio from the video stream and convert it to MP3 format. This can be done via a menu item next to the video button. In some cases, a message may appear asking if you want to convert the audio to MP3 format. The program can add additional information about the music track to the ID3v2 tag of the MP3 file.
Merging YouTube video and audio.
YouTube typically offers several additional video files without sound and several audio tracks of varying quality for upload. AntDM always offers more options for users. It combines videos with an AAC audio track into a single file. In the “Add Video Upload” dialog, you can specify which video you want to merge with which audio track.
Downloading different types of video files.
Some of the most developed and popular video services (e.g., youtube.com, vimeo.com, dailymotion.com, etc.) or media protocols (e.g., F4M, M3U8, MPEG-DASH, etc.) offer a choice of format, quality, and resolution for video file uploads. AntDM can recognize these formats and offer a choice for download.
File categories:
All uploaded files are categorized according to their MIME type. Categories for all major file types are supported: Archives, Audio, Documents, Images, Programs, Movies, and Other. AntDM has two category view panels: a brief one and a full tree view. You can also create your own custom categories and assign file types to them.
Download history
is supported from 7 to 360 days, or in the range of 300-3000 entries. History is enabled by default – Settings\Miscellaneous tab
Quick Updates
: AntDM developers are constantly developing the product, adding new features and fixing existing bugs. AntDM automatically checks for a new version on the server and offers it for automatic installation. You can discard the current version or disable automatic updates altogether and check for new versions manually. To enable automatic updates, go to Settings > General tab.
AntDM has two viewlists
. The general viewlist, like most downloader programs, provides detailed download information. The large image viewlist is convenient for viewing video downloads or images. Three modes are available: small, medium, and large.
Media file preview:
There’s a simple, convenient feature for previewing media files in the main download list. Hover your mouse over a video or audio file, and AntDM will launch media playback in the tooltip window.
Saving passwords
Saving encrypted passwords for sites that require authorization.
Checksumming
Checking the checksum (MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-512) of files after downloading or calculating the checksum of an already downloaded file (File context menu\Properties\Advanced).
Custom upload
You can upload a file with your own individual parameters: Method, PostParam, Cookies, User-Agent, etc. (File context menu\Properties\Advanced).
Scheduler:
The standard task scheduler allows you to start and stop downloads at a specified time. You can also schedule downloads to run recurringly, if needed.
