The Analog Obsession development team has released a free virtual plug-in for the vintage preamplifier, Analog Obsession MPReq. According to the creators, the development is based on the preamplifier circuit of the 1950s and will be able to decorate any audio signal.
Judging by the plugin’s interface and information from the developers ’website, MPReq is based on the Tube-Tech PE 1C tube equalizer / preamp circuits, which, in turn, are based on the Pultec EQP-1A equalizer. In addition to a fully customizable preamp section, the plugin is also equipped with a two-band equalizer with fixed frequencies of 100 Hz and 12 kHz.
