The Model 51 EQ is an expressive three-band inductor equalizer designed for bold and musical sound shaping without sacrificing detail. With fixed frequency ranges and a carefully modeled frequency response, it is easy to use: add weight, bring a source forward, soften harshness, or open up the highs with wide, natural curves that are immediately ready for mixing.
The 51 combines measured frequency and phase response with optional band-dependent saturation, transformer coloration, and a dedicated Drive stage. Choose from the soft transformer character of the 51, the richer 51 Blue, or the more pronounced Boosted mode.
The Drive cascade adds density, second-harmonic warmth, and a smooth low-frequency contour, while 4x oversampling ensures smooth nonlinear processing. Stereo Linked, Dual Mono, and Mid/Side modes allow for use on individual tracks, as well as in bus and mastering workflows.
The Component Tolerance feature allows for small, stable differences between instances for more natural analog variability.
