The Spectral
engine allows you to manipulate audio in the frequency domain, opening up a variety of unique effects. By isolating specific frequencies, you can lock the sound into a specific position. Separately delaying different frequency ranges produces stunning, dynamic results.
Sophisticated algorithms allow for precise tuning of specific frequency ranges, opening up wide possibilities for sound design. Most algorithms offer detailed control parameters.

Resynthesis:
The resynthesis engine analyzes the input signal to determine what frequencies are present. It then uses this information to create a new sound using its own internal sound engine. The result can be close to the original or completely transformed.
Combined with our powerful modulation system and easy-to-use XY pad, you can create highly dynamic and unique sounds. Just like the spectral engine, there are plenty of options for fine-tuning. Decay some notes, modulate others. Anything is possible.
We’ve included a wide selection of standard and unique scales, allowing the engine to create complex musical sequences. The resynthesis engine is particularly adept at handling non-harmonic inputs, such as drum loops, and can generate rich, inspiring harmonics.
General Effects
The Transformation includes two slots for general-purpose effects.
Delay and reverb allow you to shape space and depth. The phaser offers modulation options, and the filter with its control section is a classic tone-shaping tool. The grab and looper effects provide the glitch possibilities for which Sugar Bytes is renowned.
Since all parameters are linked to the modulation section, you can create vibrant and dynamic results. When connected to an XY pad, multiple parameters become available, making it easy to create your own unique sound.
