Welcome to the unpredictable sonic dimension of Sphaera. It is the perfect tool for ambient, cinematic, electronic and generative music.
Sphaera will play very long audio files starting from a given sample position, which can be randomized, just like a granular sampler would do. But each time the play mode is engaged, Sphaera switches to a different audio recording, generating beautiful cascades of sounds.
Although the most exciting aspect of Sphaera is its unique play mode, the sounds of this instrument can also be played in the normal way.
In normal mode, Sphaera plays all the selected sounds without any fragments.
Unique layout
While all the main controls are located at the bottom of the page, the rest of the page will visualize all the currently selected sounds as soon as a key is pressed. Spherical icons will appear and hide sequentially, representing the current sound.
Effects and Sequencing
Sphaera features a dedicated effects page with convolution reverb, featuring a variety of impulse responses from simple reverb spaces to crazy sound changes, a portamento effect, a three-band EQ, a unique artifact effect that changes note transitions.
Finally, Sphaera features a step sequencer with zoom and a pitch manager, like most of Audiofier’s tools.
