A drumming legend in the making, Ned Haweeli brings his first set of drum samples to Splice. Ned presents a collection of raw, unprocessed, Jungle/D&B-inspired breaks recorded at his studio in Brooklyn, New York.
Notes from Ned: The idea behind this pack is to offer producers a variety of classic Jungle/Drum & Bass breaks. They were recorded on an acoustic set and played by me. Various kit settings have been applied to achieve different sounds from the original Jungle era and different production styles to complete the kit as Jungle and Drum & Bass compatible.
We also ran some of the breaks through various analog devices to get a clear sound. We wanted to sample drum loops without heavy processing like distortion, compression, EQ, etc.
