Pulsar Audio – Pulsar 8200 v1.0.6 VST, VST3, AAX x64

Newly created equalizer sample. The best companion for your passive EQ. The Pulsar 8200 is a faithful emulation of the legendary GML 8200 designed by George Massenburg*, the inventor of the parametric equalizer.

Full control of the EQ is a formality today, but in those days it was a dazzling novelty. Like the original unit, the Pulsar 8200 gives you tight and solid low end, crystal clear high end and surgical control over the frequency spectrum.

It perfectly replicates the fully discrete Class A analog electronics that made the original machine famous in the 80s and are still in use today.

Its parallel topology, combined with unique filter shapes, allows for intuitive and unique spectrum shaping, resulting in smoother curves and a more natural result than a classic digital EQ, while retaining its own “analogue personality”.

Visual Curve Editing:

Manipulate a specially shaped analog EQ curve in an intuitive way. The curve editor is extremely easy to use, with a sharp and clear display of the overall frequency response. You can edit all the properties of any filter – including the name assigned to it – without touching the bottom bar.

De-Esser:

A built-in simple yet effective de-esser gives you complete control over aggressive or harsh spectrum transients for a more polished and professional result. In the center panel, select the frequency, magnitude, and filter type (bell or shelving).

Midrange Processing:

Make EQ changes to the center or stereo information of the signal by working in the mid/side mode. The Listen buttons help you listen to each signal individually, and the screen only shows the channel you’re working on, so you always know what you’re doing.

Auto Gain:

This control compensates for volume changes introduced by equalization, keeping the output level at the same level as the input. It uses the C-Weighting algorithm to introduce level compensation based on EQ curve analysis. Since this compensation only depends on the EQ settings, it does not change during playback.

Inclined filter:

Some things cannot be done with bells and shelves alone. We’ve added a sophisticated 6-pole sloped filter to naturally adjust the tonal balance of your entire mix in an analog style with a single knob.

Sub and Air Band:

-Inspired by the philosophy of parallel passive EQs, the Air and Sub bands allow you to fine-tune the extreme high and low frequencies of the spectrum without adding dirt or harshness.

Measurement and spectrum analyzer:

The on-screen analyzer displays the audio spectrum in real time (fast and slow window settings) or in the long term using the “Infinite Spectrum” setting. In addition, a peak meter gives you an idea of the overall dynamics, while RMS meters let you control volume and level matching. There is also a total gain meter.

Gain Scale:

For wholesale gain reduction or gain gain, the Gaiin Scale control lets you boost or cut the entire EQ curve, acting as a multiplier for all band gain settings.
