The Evolution Flatpick 6 features a handcrafted steel-string acoustic guitar with a rich, vibrant tone. Crafted by a renowned luthier, the guitar features a unique variation of the hybrid string bracing system: lighter and smaller bracing ensures a rich bass and crisp highs.
We developed the library in collaboration with Rosewood Recording Company, one of Utah’s most respected recording studios. Guy Randle, owner and engineer at Rosewood Recording Company, used analog audio equipment to expertly shape and highlight the guitar’s rich tonal qualities. The Evolution Flatpick 6 supports both pre-recorded and pre-processed audio. While we believe the pre-recorded signal best captures our vision of acoustic guitar sound, a dry signal is also available for additional flexibility.
To record the samples, Guy Randle collaborated with Ryan Tilby, a versatile multi-instrumentalist who has performed at countless music festivals and toured Europe extensively. His compositions have been featured on the Discovery Channel, Outdoor Photo Adventures, and other well-known television shows. Ryan Tilby also offers remote recording services to clients worldwide who need tracks for guitar, banjo, bass, mandolin, and ukulele.
The Evolution Flatpick 6 sample library includes all the necessary articulations, such as sustains, natural harmonics, palm mutes, fully muted notes, and legato (hammer-ons, pull-offs, and slides). The program also offers effects such as tapping sustain, body strikes, and other useful performance techniques.
