Butch Vig is a musician, songwriter and record producer at the same time. Best known as the drummer and co-producer of the alternative rock band Garbage and producer of original albums including Nirvana’s “Nevermind”, Smashing Pumpkins’ “Siamese Dream” and Green Day’s “21st Century Breakdown”, he is known for his innovative approach to creating modern drum sounds.
The drum sounds were recorded at the famous A United Recording studio in Hollywood using a combination of old school studio techniques and new school settings. They were then given Butch’s unique treatment, including a curated selection of analogue and digital preamps, compressors, topboxes and more in his GrungeIsDead home studio.
