Apulsoft splitS v1.1.3 is a sibilance control plugin for Windows. While de-emphasizers and dynamic equalizers can be very useful, they are rarely sufficient to effectively control sibilance in vocal recordings.
Producers and engineers often have to spend hours manually editing these problematic sounds. While this method is often unavoidable, it is time-consuming and distracts from what is truly important.
SplitS is here to give you back your time. SplitS is not a de-esser, but rather a simple mixer that allows you to balance sibilance and separate a vocal track into sibilants and non-sibilants in a split second. The signal remains completely unchanged unless you adjust the volume, as the full-range signal is separated between sibilants and non-sibilants.
No compression, no EQ, no crossover.
Since version 1.1, the S-Range function can detect the peak level of each S event, allowing you to set maximum volume or exclude insignificant events from the S channel. splitS was developed in close collaboration with Swiss mixer Thomas “Mr. T.” Gloor.
