GSi Genuine Sounds
GSi Genuine Sounds is a collection of high-quality sampled instruments powered by GSi’s own WLF (Wavetable Linear Format) sound engine. The engine is designed to deliver detailed sound while keeping CPU and memory usage low, making it possible to achieve high polyphony even on less powerful computers and devices.
Genuine Sounds Volume 1 introduces a collection of professionally sampled acoustic and electric pianos. The instruments are designed to offer realistic sound and flexible control, with more sound collections planned for other instrument categories in the future.
The WLF engine supports efficient direct-from-disk streaming, allowing large sample libraries to load and play smoothly without using excessive RAM. Users can adjust the streaming buffer and enable disk pre-caching for better performance. The engine also supports up to 1024 stereo voices and uses internal 32-bit processing with native 32-bit sample material.
For sound shaping, GSi Genuine Sounds includes a stereo 4-band semi-parametric EQ and four effect slots. The effects include tremolo, auto-panning, ring modulation, wah-wah, chorus, phaser, flanger, digital and analog delays, amplifier simulations, and several reverb variations.
Each sample set can include up to eight dedicated parameters, and all controls can be assigned to MIDI using MIDI Learn and custom MIDI maps. You can also create your own velocity curves to better match your playing style and controller.
The built-in Sound Bank Manager makes it easy to download and manage sample sets, while the Program Manager lets you create unlimited custom programs and assign MIDI program change numbers. Programs, banks, and MIDI maps can also be imported and exported.
Version 1.1.0 adds a Session Recorder that quietly records everything played during a session and allows it to be exported as a MIDI file. A built-in MIDI Monitor is also included for viewing incoming MIDI messages.
GSi Genuine Sounds features a resizable interface on desktop versions and is available as a standalone application and plugin for Windows, macOS, and iPad.
