RealiBanjo is a virtual banjo instrument designed to make realistic banjo performances easy to create. You can play individual notes as usual, but the instrument becomes even more interesting when you play chords in the top two octaves of your MIDI keyboard. RealiBanjo automatically recognizes major, minor, dominant 7th, minor 7th, and sus4 chords, then plays authentic banjo roll patterns that match your chord.
The instrument includes six different pattern styles, ranging from traditional bluegrass to acoustic rock. You can switch between these styles using key switches, even during a performance, making it easier to create natural and varied banjo parts.
RealiBanjo also features realistic legato transitions and slides between notes. Since real banjo players do not always pick every note individually, these transitions help make performances sound more natural. You can trigger slides manually or use the Auto-Legato feature, which automatically detects when two nearby notes should smoothly slide into each other.
You can choose between open-string playing or different fret positions across the fretboard. The animated interface also shows the player’s hand moving around the banjo, making the instrument more fun and visually engaging to use.
What’s New?
The latest version includes twice as many patterns, giving you more creative options for your performances. You can now drag and drop MIDI patterns directly from the RealiBanjo interface into your DAW, allowing you to edit and customize the patterns however you like.
The library is now compatible with the free Kontakt Player and appears directly in Kontakt’s Libraries tab. It also includes NKS compatibility, allowing deeper integration with Native Instruments hardware, including compatible Komplete Kontrol and S-Series keyboards.
RealiBanjo is a great choice for creating realistic bluegrass, country, folk, acoustic, and modern banjo parts without needing a real banjo player.
