With the Adobe Speech to Text add-in in Premiere Pro, you can automatically generate transcripts of video dialogue and add captions to your videos to improve accessibility and engage viewers.

When video editing is nearing completion, use Adobe Speech to Text to create a transcription of your footage.
Add captions to the timeline that match the speech tempo, using Adobe Sensei machine learning.
Style your video captions and adjust their position using the editing tools in the Essential Graphics panel.

Installation

Adobe Speech to Text:

Check the version of Premiere Pro you have installed.
Premiere Pro 2026 26.0 or higher must be installed.

Run the “Autoplay.exe” file (an error may appear)
OR
Open the “Setup” folder.
Run the “Setup.exe” file.
Install the required Adobe Speech to Text for Premiere Pro language pack(s).

The language of the Adobe Speech to Text plug-in settings window is English (North America) only.

Installation:
