Cimbalom is a chordophone consisting of a trapezoid box with metal strings stretched across its upper string parts. It is widely distributed in the Balkan states, and in 1890 it was proclaimed the national instrument of Hungary. The tool selected for this library is a Schunda chromatic model from Budapest.
The Live Pack includes two fully sampled versions and 12 useful adaptations that take sound far beyond the original instrument.
The Universal Format version contains two fully sampled versions – a soft version with a close microphone with pronounced beats from felt hammers and a bright version that reveals the brilliance of the instrument. Both versions are based on chromatic sets of multisamples with velocity layers recorded in stereo, with an adjustable mono signal from the bottom.
