Impact Soundworks – Shreddage 3.5 Argent (KONTAKT)

About the Library

For years, you’ve been asking us to deliver something even lower and heavier than our best-selling Shreddage 3 Hydra. We’ve long been fans of the extremely brutal, world-crushing Doom soundtracks, especially the intense metal genre created by Mick Gordon for Doom 2016. When we decided it was time to take Shreddage back to their metal roots, it was from these soundtracks that we drew inspiration to create Shreddage 3 Argent.

“Argent metal” has a particular aggressive, single-string rhythm sound that we wanted to capture, which inspired our choice of instrument (Schecter Damien Platinum), the EMG 808 pickups we chose, and the way we approached the sampling process. We set out to create the ultimate chugging rhythm guitar, and we succeeded! But the Shreddage 3 Argent is so much more. It’s an extremely versatile guitar that absolutely excels at low-end rhythms and chugs, and excels at leads too. Take it to even the most extreme and aggressive sections, and it’ll handle them with aplomb.

The Shreddage 3 Argent is ready to deliver cool intensity as both a chug and lead guitar in layouts. It’s also great for live guitars: use it to easily double a track or layer rhythm parts. If you’re a guitarist yourself, we’d like to think that this is a much more affordable alternative to investing in (and mastering!) a dedicated 9-string guitar without sacrificing realism or control.

With a stunning low-end and the ability to sustain frantic tempos, the Shreddage 3 Argent brings relentless badassery to your djent, prog metal and other metal tracks.

Recorded in two separate pickup positions (neck and bridge) DI so you can create your own tone

9-string guitar tuned to low C#
Ultra-low tuning gives this beast the perfect tone for djent, argent metal and other modern progressive genres. But its huge range and virtuoso playing allow it to go far beyond.
