Perfect low-frequency stereo sound and unique bass boost.
Basslane Pro
The perfect tool for managing your stereo low-end system and creating impressive bass that translates across multiple formats and playback systems.
Basslane Pro combines transparent stereo width control with innovative solutions to preserve musical content that would otherwise be lost when converted to mono. Basslane Pro offers advanced ways to increase width, richness and low frequencies that go far beyond mono. The unique Stereo Harmonics feature adds upper bass harmonics to add clarity and controlled low-end width without the hassle of getting stereo information into subwoofers. The easy-to-use multi-band dynamics system, powered by our renowned Unisum compressor, makes it easy to control unruly transients or improve low-end performance and tightness.
Key Points
- Get deep, wide bass that plays well on small speakers, vinyl records and club systems.
- Eliminate phase and stereo issues in the low frequencies without compromising the stereo image
- Restore out-of-phase bass that would otherwise be lost when down-mixed to mono
- Add dimension and clear spatial coloration with unique stereo harmonics
- Precisely control the bass boost with an analog resonant high-pass filter and low-frequency focused peak limiter
- Use Unisum multi-band speakers for adaptive width control and beautiful bass
Key Features
Perfect Low-Frequency Stereo
A little stereo never hurt anyone, but it’s important to be aware of phase issues and excessive low-frequency width, especially when recording tracks on vinyl or in a club. Basslane Pro provides continuous and precise stereo width reduction or expansion in the low and mid frequencies, using highly accurate linear phase processing to produce an undistorted stereo image. Basslane Pro also offers new solutions for preserving valuable musical content that is affected by width correction. Monobass without loss of effect
Mono Recovery is a unique feature of Basslane Pro that allows you to preserve the out-of-phase low frequencies that typically occur with wide synth basses and heavily processed tracks. When played in mono or using other processors for monophony, these types of signals are significantly reduced in level or disappear altogether, resulting in an obvious lack of low frequencies. Mono Recovery prevents this by allowing you to re-mix them to produce bass that retains its sound even in mono. Add Dimensionality with Stereo Harmonics Basslane Pro offers a new way to increase the width and character of your sound. While preserving the lowest frequencies in mono, Basslane Pro allows you to add upper harmonics based on the low frequencies in mono and expand them. The result is a natural sounding stereo width that is musically tied to the bass, without the problems of stereo sound in subwoofers. With flexible controls for adjusting the character and distribution of stereo harmonics, you can use stereo harmonics to boost low frequencies to make them sound good on small speakers, to add subtlety, or to create a clear spatial coloration. Unisum-powered Dynamics Basslane Pro’s Dynamics section features two multi-band versions of our renowned Unisum mastering compressor, tailored to compress or expand only the frequency range you specify. Side mode lets you easily control overly dynamic side information or add dynamic stereo widening. Stereo mode is tuned to give low frequencies extra punch. With just a few basic controls, it’s surprisingly easy to use, yet still sounds beautiful and helps you place the low frequencies correctly.
