Hoard Mandolin is a versatile and dynamic legato mandolin library designed for Kontakt.
Featuring renowned session guitarist and producer Jason Hoard, our goal was to create a comprehensive mandolin library capable of both virtuosic performance and heartfelt simplicity.
The core Master Legato patch is a true workhorse, suitable for a wide range of musical contexts. The Chicken Peck variant offers the same functionality but includes repeat sustains optimized for fast and consistent playing without sacrificing the inherent legato capabilities.
Both patches seamlessly integrate legato playing techniques with downward and upward strokes.
In addition to the sustain performance, we’ve included playable repeat patches with the ability to split the keyboard, tremolo, sustain chords, carefully chosen short chords derived from phrases, and even muted chords; both playable and tempo-synced live grooves recorded at 90, 120, 150 and 180 bpm.
