Atoms is a new kind of synth plugin that uses advanced physics modeling to generate an endless variety of organic and otherworldly sounds. Use it to create rich and vibrant textures like the world has never heard before.
COMPLEX PHYSICS IN A SIMPLE PACKAGE
Physical simulation simulates the behavior of real devices. But Atoms takes you beyond what’s possible in the natural world. Its capabilities are deep enough to explore the outer boundaries of sound design, yet so simple that you can modify, shape and create with ease.
Atoms works based on a model of interconnected masses and springs with customizable properties and sizes. The model is triggered by a virtual bow, which excites the system and causes it to vibrate, generating sound.

LIVING ORGANISM
In the natural world, nothing is truly static. Physical modeling simulates this by generating sounds with the same organic vibrations as acoustic instruments.
Atoms goes even further. Its six main parameters can be automated with powerful movement options to give them extra life. This allows you to create soundscapes that constantly change and regenerate, like a natural organism.
If you’re used to working with sample libraries, Atoms brings a new level of otherworldly realism to your tracks.

PROGRAM NEW PATCHES WITH ONE CLICK
Atoms is equipped with a powerful randomization engine. It’s a musically calibrated algorithm that selectively adjusts each parameter based on its relationship to the others, giving you usable patches every time you roll the dice.
You can further narrow the algorithm by limiting the random ranges for any control or by locking the parameters from being changed.
Finally, the Recycle button is a second randomizer that creates new patches similar to the current one. Once you’ve found a sound you like, click Recycle to explore its associated options.
PHYSICALLY SIMULATED EFFECTS
On the bottom panel you’ll find a range of creative effects to help you add extra expression to your sound. You can also choose from four sound profiles, each offering a different mass-spring network modeling structure.
With the exception of Space (reverb), all effects in the bottom panel are created within the physical model itself. This gives you a range of unique modulation effects that are integral to the physical model and sound more natural than any single FX chain.
INCLUDED PRESET PACKS
Atoms comes with 250 presets created by the industry’s leading sound designers. Included is a free “Radioactive” expansion pack from Zardonic, which explores the darker and more twisted sides of the instrument.
