The KORG Collection is a collection of soft synths that meticulously recreate the authentic sound and performance of some of Korg’s legendary synths for today and tomorrow. The software synthesizer suite covers a wide range of synthesis from early analog masterpieces like the MS-20 and Polysix to digital hits like the M1 and TRITON workstations.
In 2022, it features three unique instruments beloved by creators around the world: the microKORG, the best-selling synthesizer since 2002, focused on the enjoyment of performance fun and great analog modeled sound; ELECTRIBE-R, the original ELECTRIBE that allows anyone to create beats instantly, and KAOSS PAD, which mirrors the revolutionary KAOSS PAD effects processor that freely controls effects via an intuitive touchpad and is now available in a powerful software format. KORG Collection 4 is now available, covering a wide range of sounds and effects that symbolize every era.
Since the birth of the ARP Odyssey in 1972, it has become a renowned analog synthesizer that has been used on numerous artists’ recordings. However, for a number of years it was quite difficult to find. In 2015, KORG brought in ARP Instruments co-founder David Friend as an advisor and began making hardware again.
The KORG ARP ODYSSEY is a software version of the 2015 ARP ODYSSEY reproduction. We used KORG’s patented CMT (Component Modeling Technology) to mimic the analog feel and sound of the original as closely as possible. We have also added many enhancements that are only possible with software, such as high polyphony and built-in effects. This is the most vintage and most modern ARP ODYSSEY that only KORG with analog know-how and digital technology can create. Be sure to get.
The M1, released in 1988, is an epochal synthesizer that defined the music scene of the late 80s and 90s. His digital multi-effects synthesis system, based on high-quality PCM, featured a unique, era-defining sound. Also, as the original all-in-one music workstation, it came with an 8-track sequencer, radically changing the way musicians around the world compose and produce.
KORG Collection M1 V2 is an update to the M1 software released in 2005 that has been enhanced for today’s production environments. We’ve added a much-requested interface with high resolution and scalability. The pre-installed sounds include all 3300 programs, including those from ROM expansion cards, giving you the legendary M1 sounds through the latest plug-in software.
The MDE-X comes with 21 types of effects such as compressor, limiter, overdrive, EQ, talking modulator, flanger, phaser, chorus, delay and reverb.
MDE-X uses the high quality TRITON instant effect algorithm. Use effects that have been used in many famous sounds and have defined the sound in plugins. With 128 types of effect programs, it can be used in a wide range of applications such as sound design, live performance and mixing. The MDE-X V2 has been redesigned to include Distortion and Feedback Reverb, two new types of high quality effects that allow you to switch multiple types.
In the early 1970s, many compact monophonic synthesizers appeared on the market. However, most of them were used mainly by famous musicians who could afford rare instruments, or as research devices in the academic world. KORG wanted to give the average musician the opportunity to experience this new type of musical instrument. After much trial and error, in 1973 the company announced the release of the first mass-produced synthesizer: the miniKORG 700. The simple appearance, which belied its ability to reproduce a variety of sounds beyond imagination, captivated many musicians who loved its unique and dense tonal quality.
The MiniKORG 700S, an improved version with an additional VCO, was announced the following year and has now been recreated as a software instrument.
The MiniKORG 700S for Mac and Windows is a faithful reproduction of the original analog hardware with powerful new features only available in software.
Now you can enjoy the unique sounds and features of this historic KORG synthesizer on your computer.
The Mono/Poly analog synthesizer, which was released at the same time as Polysix in 1981, merged previous Korg analog synthesizers into one groundbreaking synthesizer. Although it was a monophonic synthesizer with a thick four-voice sound, it had an innovative specification to also be used as a four-voice polyphonic synthesizer, which was extremely valuable since polyphonic synthesizers were then expensive. He was known for the versatility of creating sound using 4 VCOs (Voltage Controlled Oscillators) in combination with Polysix, such as oscillator sync and cross modulation.
While the Mono/Poly V2 in this KORG collection is based on the 2007 Mono/Poly software emulation, it has been enhanced for modern production environments. In addition to the long-awaited, high-res scalable interface, we’ve added two new multi-effects. All analog sounds and behaviors are realistically reproduced using CMT, KORG’s patented electronic modeling technology, and this latest software delivers the power and vintage vibes you want from a plug-in.
Launched in 1978, the MS-20 analog synthesizer is undoubtedly one of the most famous and respected synthesizers of all time. With its fat and gooey sound, powerful self-oscillatory filter and freely adjustable patch section, this huge bestseller from KORG is still popular with professionals and amateurs alike.
While the MS-20 V2 in this KORG collection is based on the 2004 software-emulated MS-20, it has been enhanced for today’s production environments. In addition to the much requested interface with high resolution and scalability, we have added two new multi-effects. All analog sounds and behaviors are reproduced realistically using CMT, KORG’s patented electronic circuit simulation technology, and this latest software gives you powerful sound that only the MS-20 can reproduce.
The Polysix analog synthesizer, introduced to the market in 1981, is one of KORG’s best-known synthesizers. Synthesizers popular at the time had five-voice polyphony. This is Polysix. with six polyphonic voices (another voice), was named directly after the determination and pride of the engineers. Sound memory, built-in effects such as chorus, phaser, and ensemble are common features these days, but were considered advanced features at the time, and by combining them to deliver a uniquely fat sound, Polysix quickly became a worldwide bestseller.
Although the Polysix V2 in this KORG collection is based on the 2004 software emulated Polysix, it has been enhanced for today’s production environments. In addition to the much requested interface with high resolution and scalability, we have added two new multi-effects. All analog sounds and behaviors are reproduced realistically using CMT, KORG’s patented electronic circuit simulation technology, and now you can get these beautiful sounds, unique to Polysix, in a state-of-the-art software plug-in.
PCM synthesizers were at their peak in the 1990s, but artists in the club scene were already looking for a more flexible analog sound, hinting at the coming analog renaissance of the 2000s.
It was in this context that the Prophecy was announced in 1995, offering more flexibility and tonal possibilities than ever before. The Prophecy Solo Synthesizer, based on advanced digital signal processing technology and a DSP chip previously used exclusively for effects processing, is now available as a software plug-in with the ease of use, polyphony and modern features needed for today’s music production.
The KORG TRITON series of synthesizer workstations was first released in 1999 and has received acclaim and prestigious awards. Top musicians around the world have loved the expressive sound of PCM and have used their TRITONs in countless songs.
This year, for the 20th anniversary of its release, KORG TRITON will finally be released in software form as the KORG – TRITON / TRITON Extreme collection. The plug-in accurately reproduces the HI (Hyper Integrated) synthesis system down to the smallest detail and contains each of the huge number of preset programs. Restore the true masterpiece sound that characterizes many hits.
Released in 1990, WAVESTATION is a synthesizer with an advanced vector synthesis system that can create new sounds by combining and connecting multiple waveforms. With unique features such as using the joystick to mix and transform four oscillators, the wave sequence function that can arrange waves in sequence to form rhythmic or melodic sequences, it remains a legendary and indispensable instrument to this day.
The KORG WAVESTATION V2 Collection is an update to the 2004 WAVESTATION software that has been enhanced for today’s production environments. We’ve added a much-requested interface with high resolution and scalability. The preset sounds include all 1500 programs, including those from ROM expansion cards, giving you the famous WAVESTATION sounds through the latest plug-in software.
The ELECTRIBE series offers intuitive control with knobs, switches and step sequencers, allowing anyone to start making beats right away. “ELECTRIBE-R”, one of the world’s most popular and loved track makers, has been revived for your Mac/Win.
The first generation ELECTRIBE series was based on the concept of a fun way to choose savory and unique standalone instruments that could be used as complements to electronic music, rather than big devices trying to cover all the parts in one machine, depending on your preference. The software (creating a preloaded tone) was hand-crafted by our voiceover specialists with the idea of a “rhythm machine that allows you to develop sounds and create modern music with ease”.
Touch, circle and rub the touchpad to play. The KAOSS PAD series, with its simple and clear concept, has been used not only in the international DJ world, but in all kinds of music scenes, from the first generation KP1 introduced in 1999 to the third generation KP3+ and beyond. turning into many other music products equipped with its clear interface, creating the “KAOSS family” with its clear interface.
KAOSS PAD is the first in the KAOSS series that reveals its complex internal structure and allows you to create original control systems while maintaining an interface that makes it easy to use as an effect plug-in with a “touch pad” control at the front of the interface. Inheriting the concept of the KAOSS PAD series, KAOSS PAD can create new chaos with the deepest processing of effects and various controls!
Since its release in 2002, the microKORG has been loved by more musicians around the world than any other hardware synthesizer in the history of music. Following the first generation microKORG, a number of variations were introduced, including the microKORG XL released in 2009 and the microKORG S with 2+1 speakers, as well as many color variations.
The MicroKORG was born out of a desire to bring the appeal and fun of synthesizers to beginner and professional musicians, track makers and creators everywhere. Korg easily achieved this goal by creating a hugely successful synthesizer that was not only compact and easy to use, but also sounded amazing.
