Recorded sequentially in normal mode and with different types of mutes, Afflatus Chapter 2 Brass makes writing orchestral brass easier and more enjoyable than ever before.
After 5 years of concept notes and polishing, the second chapter of the Afflatus series is finally out. Taking the concept well beyond the first installment in the series, Afflatus Chapter 2 Brass is a vast and unparalleled collection of brass instruments based on 100% user feedback and the core strengths of the first chapter, making it a true workhorse collection. brass instruments.
Capturing conducted musical performances rather than static generic samples, Chapter 2 of Afflatus features several carefully selected ensembles based on some of our and your favorite film scores and pieces from the classical repertoire. These highly specialized and inspiring patches instantly deliver superior results beyond traditional multisampling. Recorded with varying articulations and dynamic layers, these carefully chosen ensembles are much more than just one-trick ponies; These are serious tools for scoring and music production.
From the giant Barbarian Low Brass Ensemble, capable of producing thunderous walls of brass while maintaining clarity and organic sound, to 10 Phantom Horns amplified through Marshall amplifiers back into the room, creating playable, expressive and gentle brass sounds (The Chosen One) and also muted trumpets with vibraphone and saxophones (Noir Brass), the colors available are numerous and required a large number of test sessions to get the most out of the concepts on which they are based. We are proud to announce that in version 1.0 of Afflatus Chapter 2 Brass we have 9 different carefully selected ensembles with multiple articulations as well as dynamic layers. Featuring the latest versions of our famous polyphonic true legato and an all-new user interface that lets you customize every articulation and sound to your liking. Particular attention was paid to smooth transitions between dynamic layers and density during loop editing. The highest dynamics are explosive fff, and the lowest dynamics are soft pp. A wide selection of different lengths for marcato playing, as well as playable sfz crescendos, slides, wt/ht trills, flutters are available for each instrument, played normally and with mutes where possible.
