We created Momentum because we are always looking for new rhythmic elements to add to our own music, especially sounds that come out of the crowd. To make sure we created a completely unique sonic palette with a huge amount of variety, we reached out to a variety of talented sound engineers and sound engineers, each offering their own take on the challenge of organic, unexpected percussion.
What did they give us? Over 2500 performances and hundreds of multisamples that give percussive sounds a new flavor: badly processed bass drums and rare hand percussion, hammered guitars and cellos, giant boxes and tiny blocks, many found metal objects and much more. This is a fantastic collection of percussion loops that are great for filling in specific frequency ranges or creating an entire groove from scratch.
Despite the huge amount of content, it’s very easy to find exactly what you’re looking for! Each sound is labeled and classified both by material (e.g. glass, metal or stone) and frequency range (low, medium, high, full), and the user interface is simple and user-friendly. Raw and natural sounds give this library a versatility that transcends genres. If you’re looking to give your loops a more modern edge, Momentum’s sound design capabilities (effects like filters, glitches, and interruptions) will do the trick.
