Featuring the extremely talented Joni Fuller, each string instrument was multisampled across 3 octaves with multiple velocity layers, looping algorithms and 8 different articulations. All recordings were made in a very cramped room using the same setup as the string recordings in our popular Unstrung library.
Each articulation is played very aggressively, with tension and conscious terror, leaving beautiful imperfections to give you a very realistic and raw sound.
To give you more expression, we used an additional 3 octave set of noisy, raspy, stunningly terrifying notes for each of the 3 articulations: spiccatissimo, spiccato and staccato. The remaining articulations can also enhance any of these additional aggressive layers to give harder attacks and unique combinations of sounds.
