Two years after the release of Jade Ethnic Orchestra, we are back in Beijing, China with our co-producer Seth Tsui to create a collection of virtual instruments that pushes the boundaries of instrumental performance development to a new level. The result of this journey was Jade Evolutions.
Jade Evolutions is not a sample library in the traditional sense of multisamples, dynamic layers and looping. The recordings we have made are very expressive performances in each part of the traditional Chinese orchestra, as well as vocal ensembles. Emphasis was placed on musicality that is unattainable using a multi-sampled approach. If you’re looking for instant cutting-edge sound results that go way beyond what a collection of ethnic virtual instruments can achieve, Jade Evolutions will be your new secret weapon.
Based on our experience with our Syllabuilder and X3M engines, we’ve developed a brand new one using Native Instruments’ Kontakt sampler to give you access to these performances in an intuitive way, as well as combine them with custom electronic sounds recorded for it by hardware synths. modern cinematic sound. The core of Jade Evolutions is the XY Pad, which allows you to freely transform and mix between 4 zones of mapped instrumental performances and freely layer electronic sound sources.
Each of the zones can be customized and decorated to your liking. Use 215 instrumental and 47 electronic sound sources to create your own presets and arrangements. Save them and bookmark them for future productions, or use one of our 256 presets as the basis for your own exploration of the unknown.
