Introducing the Fresh Baked Breaks series from STLNDRMS – the first package in this collection is raw and straight from the tape, giving you big, fat and noisy drum breaks with a great tape sound. This pack is not only traditional, but also experimental – with patterns ranging from house to Afrobeat and abstract grooves and even a few fills to finish it off.
To achieve that natural, weighty sound, the Fresh Baked Breaks team used an MX70 Reel to Reel tape recorder and a Burl b2 converter for the conversion, running the audio through 60s preamps, a 70s analog console, Neve summing, Calrec compression, and a Class A EQ.
