Ismail Tall, aka Iss814, returns for his third package with Splice Sessions. Blending influences from all over West Africa and mixing them with Western trap and hip-hop elements, he creates his own world. It is marked by emotional, unearthly melodies and vibrant rhythms.
He used Senegalese musical instruments such as kora, ngondi, and balafon, and played at a traditional pace, rather than the western tempo, which is usually faster.
