Following the same innovative concept as our famous Swarm series, various techniques were applied simultaneously and at random intervals in the inimitable resonance of The Hall at AIR Studios, resulting in the creation of undulating textures and swarm waves of varying degrees of sparseness and density with a staggering 16 waveforms . choose from. Percussion Swarm also brings you 30 warped pads and rhythmic textures, as well as 235 snapshots, rendered in our Mercury Synth engine.
Widescreen Percussion Innovation
The result of months of musical experimentation and innovation, this epic and versatile set of instruments is modeled after our renowned Swarm libraries and is designed to add movement, depth and modernity to your TV, movie or game soundtracks. We took all the sampling techniques we’d learned over the last three years and applied them to percussion instruments, asking ourselves: What if you took percussion instruments and played them like strings? Percussion Swarm features truly stunning performances from the world’s finest percussionists, equipped with enviably rare collections of instruments: Paul Clavis, Frank Ricotti and Gary Cattell, who have performed in our existing percussion libraries and are known for their prolific work in film.
Mercury Synth
The Distortion Section takes those organic sounds to a whole new place, giving you 30 distorted sounds and 235 shots created by our experienced development team. Created using granular synthesis, guitar pedals, and other external gear, discover the wide range of otherworldly pads, evolving waves, and atonal rhythmic textures featured in our Mercury Synth engine.
