Among the instrument’s many features are time-dependent release samples, hammer action, and sympathetic resonance. Pressing the damper pedal activates special damper atmosphere samples. By allowing the strings to resonate freely as the pedal is pressed, removing the dampers from the strings, this gives the piano’s tone a rich depth. Releasing the pedal dampens these resonances, narrowing and focusing the sound.

Rosewood Grand includes four different sample sets to choose from:
Tuned. The basic version captures the pristine, pure tone of a Yamaha C7 grand piano.
Bloom. The piano notes have been slightly detuned, giving each note more agility in the sustain.
Felt. A layer of felt has been placed between the hammers and strings, softening the attack of the piano and giving it a warm, bell-like sound.
Classic. Access the sounds of the original Rosewood Grand library, enhanced by the capabilities of the new engine.
