Evolution Strawberry allows keyboardists to quickly and easily create authentic-sounding electric guitar parts without having to manually edit MIDI files.
Unlike traditional high-end KONTAKT guitar sample libraries and guitar VST files, Evolution doesn’t require the keyboardist to have basic guitar knowledge to achieve authentic results. Instead, it leverages your keyboard playing skills, translating these techniques for guitar, much like a skilled translator translates from one language to another. For example, chord inversions are automatically analyzed, and a suitable guitar arrangement is instantly determined. The chord variations you can strum are limited only by your imagination—power chords, triads, augmented chords, diminished chords, suspended fourths, seventh chords, ninth chords, tenths, and “Hendrix chords”—it’s all possible.
Evolution uses complex scripts, eliminating the need to memorize dozens of key combinations, and features a vast array of articulations, from palm mutes to plucked harmonics, that accurately emulate the feel of a real guitar. It possesses all the details and nuances that make guitar playing incredibly realistic. Its signature string resonator creates a sense of organic realism unmatched by other guitar sample libraries or VST files. Furthermore, Evolution doesn’t require you to sacrifice your gameplay or sequencer to adapt to its operation—instead, it uses a convenient mapping system that allows you to quickly and easily customize the sample library mapping to suit your preferences.
Evolution covers rhythm and lead guitar playing, including the powerful and advanced, yet easy-to-use, chord-based Orange Tree Samples. The chord-based system automates the labor-intensive task of creating realistic rhythm guitar parts, including an intelligent chord recognition engine that instantly converts chords on the keyboard into guitar sounds on the fretboard. Popular studio techniques like double-tracking (as well as triple and quadruple) are available with the turn of a knob. Want to detune your guitar or add a capo? It’s easy, and switching between alternate tunings affects not only the instrument’s range but also the tone of individual strings. For maximum versatility, Evolution was dry-recorded and includes a suite of virtual stompbox effects and a comprehensive selection of guitar cabinet impulses built directly into the sample library. This allows users to select their favorite amp simulations and effects to achieve the perfect sound—from pop and rock to funk, hip-hop, and jazz—right out of the box.
- Built-in effects with virtual stompboxes and amp/cabinet modeling
- Individually sampled strings controlled by a string/fret selector with performance modeling
- Strum keys and strumming patterns
- Pickup positions: bridge, bridge and neck, neck
- Instant 2x, 3x, and 4x tracking
- Alternate tunings and capo
