Recorded at Orb Studios in Austin, Texas, the goal for this release was to create a true workhorse, full library of saxophones that could handle a variety of musical tasks with ambience and ease. Just play your passages and ride the modulation wheel!
Vibrato is a key characteristic. As with our Sasaki Trumpet release, we captured the natural, progressive vibrato present in Colin’s performances to make the sound as musical and believable as possible. We’ve also provided both natural (untuned) and tuned versions of our patches – the former retains the natural pitch shifts across the instrument’s range.
We’ve included two performance styles. The Workhorse patches create an upbeat and energetic context. Great for jazz, rock, and pop genres. The Emotional patches were recorded soft with a more subtle, emotional vibrato for delicate and expressive passages.
