With Master Suite, mastering is as easy as 1-2-3. Just adjust the volume and end your track with the 3-band equalizer and stereo image controls. Distributing songs and tools to customers, record companies, online stores, and streaming services requires that they have industry standard volume in order to have modern sound. The LUFS display shows industry standard volume when turning green and warns you when you start to become too loud. The smart algorithm applies the right amount of constraint and compression, which can be controlled by softening and blending. The HD interface looks clean, feels great and can be easily changed to suit your screen resolution.
THD – total harmonic distortion, this can “correct” the wizard and help increase the perceived volume.
Volume – increase or decrease the volume of your master in decibels. It uses an intelligent compression algorithm and limits to ensure maximum volume with minimal distortion.
LUFS Meter – The LUFS meter (units for measuring volume relative to full scale) is a standard representation of perceived volume. The meter turns green when it is in the “sweet” zone of the loud master without over-compressing the dynamics of your mix.
Soften – This softens the compression curve, also known as the soft knee.
Mix – mix compressed sound with the original. If you press the volume hard and the wizard sounds too compressed with loss of dynamics, this control can help restore some dynamics, while maintaining the sound volume.
Analog – changes the frequency response of the main set for more analog sound.
3-band equalizer – cut or boost low, mid and high frequencies to 6 dB.
Stereo Image – The Mono control works by making the sound completely mono below the set frequency. This can help pull up the lower end and make sure that it comes only from the center of the stereo field. The Stereo knob amplifies the stereo field for frequencies just above the mid-range, leaving the low frequencies intact. This can be used to add extra “space” to the wizard, pushing the instruments even wider in the stereo field.
Ceiling – sets the maximum volume for peaks. Your master will not get louder than that.
