Jazz Drums is the perfect complement to our jazz drum WAV loops and a highly playable standalone instrument. Use it to program your own drum parts or to enhance the loop-based parts with your own fills, intros and endings. The samples on this instrument were recorded simultaneously with our WAV loops and blend perfectly with them.
Recordings
We recorded a seasoned professional drummer playing a vintage jazz drum kit (Leedy & Ludwig 1953 Broadway snare drum, Ludwig Jazzette kick drum, vintage Istanbul and Zildjian cymbals). The kit was recorded using popular classic gear, including original Neumann U 47 tube microphones, RCA DX and Altec mics, vintage API mic preamps, and authentic Pultec EQs.
Mixes
Each sample comes in two mixes: classic and vintage. The classic mix is inspired by legendary Blue Note and Impulse recordings from the 1960s, but is good enough for modern productions as well. The vintage mix is a distressed-sounding mono mix using a mix of just two microphones: a Neumann Tube 47 mono mic and an RCA room mic. This mix is perfect for recreating long-forgotten sounds, as well as for those who want to add a bit of vintage atmosphere to their productions.

Samples include bass drum, snare (sticks and brushes, flam, rolls, drags), cross stick, low tom, high tom, hi-hats (closed, semi-open, open, pedal and others), ride, crash, various combos.
