A set of children’s musical instruments. Misfit Toy Instruments is the embodiment of life, character and authenticity of six unique toy instruments. We began our library with the warm and soothing sound of a small accordion, which is highly recommended for use in combination with our adorable clarinet. We added a cute mini guitar with thick nylon strings, followed by the practically commercial sound of a children’s glockenspiel. We completed the library with six different music boxes and the sensual sound of a shiny plastic saxophone.
Misfit Toy Instruments is a funky sample collection, childish and infantile in nature. We wanted to capture the sweet naivety of these instruments in a way that truly reflects their unusual character and quirkiness. Sure, these aren’t the most sophisticated instruments played by the world’s best musicians, but these are the sounds that most children surround themselves with while growing up. There’s a certain value in that that can’t be conveyed in any other way.
Misfit Toy Instruments comes with two parallel effects systems. Our new front-end effects system gives you instant control over the most important ones, including a variety of filters, an advanced gate with tempo controls, pitch and micro-pitch, subtle delay and compression, and our new textured convolution reverb. We’ve also included our Chaos FX Engine 3.3, so you’re not only getting a unique product, but also a suite of effects that will open up endless possibilities.
